In 2002, Lean Aerospace Value extended thinking on lean production to advance lean enterprise transformation. Now, twenty years later, the team of co-authors has issued a second edition of the book as an open resource, documenting how the concepts have expanded beyond aerospace to reach healthcare, pharmaceuticals, digital platforms, finance, government operations, and more.
This book provides a new agenda and bold vision for systemic transformations in industries, sectors, and ecosystems. The second edition documents how MIT's Lean Aerospace Initiative operated as a learning, value creating community and provides guidance for others aiming for similar impacts.
